BookIt! is a writing and book making program that focuses on the FUN of play. Educators are always looking for a way to ignite a spark in each student. The BookIt! workshop is a fun-filled, hands-on literacy project that teaches students the fundamentals of creating a story while allowing an entry into the storytelling world through building on their individual strengths. Each student will write, illustrate and bind their own book.
The workshop can be done with all ages and timeframes. For shorter time frames the students create a popup folio which includes writing, illustrating and construction.
